Greg Wilson and Best Choice Racing announce sponsorship and rider details

Best Choice secure sponsorship

Best Choice Endurance, National Super Sport team and GB Racing have today agreed a sponsorship deal for the remainder of the 2008 UK National Endurance season.

Graham Banks of GB Racing has agreed to supply the team with its full range of protective engine casings and other products for the 2006/7/8 Yamaha R6.

These covers "would certainly have been a godsend at the Pembrey Round"
commented team manager Greg Wilson, “where a holed oil pump cover caused during a previous accident, led to the bike leaving the track and being "un-recoverable".

GB Racing has only just released these covers for the Yamaha R6.
however they have been working with T3 Racing and Crescent Suzuki for some time developing Racing covers which many people have been using.

GBRacing are a leading design, development and manufacturing team, based in the UK. We utilise today’s most advanced engineering materials and manufacturing processes for the production of bespoke race parts. Taken from http://www.gbracing.eu

These covers can been seen on the Best Choice Endurance R6 at Snetterton and the team look forward to working with GB Racing for the rest of the 2008 Season.

Best Choice Endurance & Fast Bikes Team up

Best Choice Endurance, National Super Sport team have gained the services of Fast Bikes journalist Paul Smyth for the forthcoming round at Snetterton.

The team look forward to working with Paul at the Snetterton round which will be Paul's first Endurance race. However having competed at Snetterton aboard a Triumph 675, Manager Greg Wilson said he felt "Confident that Paul will had to the teams existing riders to be a podium force at Snetterton"

Paul completes the team along with Riders Richard Greenland, also competing in the MG races aboard his R1, and Alan Stevens a rider who has competed in National Endurance rounds previously with established teams.

Your chance to race - don't just talk about it - DO IT

Stop dreaming and do it! Racing in the Hottrax Motorsport Racing Club National Endurance Championship has never been more accessible!

Greg Wilson of Best Choice is in the position of having two seats available for the rest of the HMRC season, starting at Pembrey next month. Greg is looking for 2 riders to compete on a good superstock based bike that was doing 1:15's around Snetterton on Sunday when the weather was dry. Best Choice are using Jim to supply the teams tyres (so Pit Crew don't have to change wheels themselves any more). They have a couple more people to help with signalling and pit work (on top of rider) and the cost per round (based on 6 hour races) is less than £600 per rider. This cost is open to negotiation with Greg depending on who you are and your previous experience.

May 2008 - MOORES – something for the weekend?

After an extensive rebuild, following a DNF at Anglesey, The MOORES RACING R6R YAMAHA will be out on track this Friday for a shakedown prior to running in The Hottrax National 6 Hour Endurance Race this weekend at Snetterton. Jim Agombar, Mike Eglington and Tony Jimenez are looking forward to getting their campaign back on track after the little upset a month ago.

Tony said “With 6 rounds to go and no points we really need a strong finish this weekend and we are the team to do it. So the other teams can enjoy the lead they have over us but rest assured we're coming to get them!"

The SWEATSHOP MOORES RACING TEAM R1 YAMAHA will be testing on the Saturday with Hugh Brasher, Nick Roake and John-Paul Scott. As a team we can't wait to see what this line-up does as they all know the track extremely well and with luck should again finish strongly in the race.

April 2008 - Greetings from the throttlemonkeys

Variety is the spice of life

the throttlemonkeys would like to introduce themselves;

Hello - we are a new team in the HMRC Senior Endurance TAG class for 2008, although 2 of us did compete in the last junior round at Silverstone in October 2007 when we surprised ourselves and finished in a healthy third place.

We enjoyed it so much, we decided to step up to the HMRC Senior Endurance TAG class for 2008 by adding another team mate to the line up. For Anglesey we have three different bikes - a Suzuki GSXR 1000, a Suzuki GSXR 750 and for a bit of variety and some pleasant sounds - an Aprilia Mille RSVR.

Currently the bikes are all prepped and have benefited from some new bodywork and sponsor stickers. We had a very successful test at Anglesey over the Easter vacation; our accommodation is all sorted, as is our marshall and our willing volunteers/helpers

…..the three of us can’t wait for the first race……….

March 2008 - Mark + Mick go National

Mark Linscott and Mick Dickinson will line up together to contest the 2008 HMRC National Endurance Championship. It will be remembered that ex BSB, Endurance and Inernational journeyman Linscott won the 2007 TAG Championship under the banner of Team SOBER as well as guesting in the National race at Silverstone.

In addition to being a well decent rider, Mark is also an effective preparer of race machines as well as being a rider coach. At the same time, do not discount the calibre of experienced South African Mick, who in 2007 took victory in the KRC encounter at Mallory in May and joined GBMoto at Pembrey. Mick's victory at Mallory was in partnership with teen son, Craig who shows terrific promise for the future. Watch this duo chasing overall honours this season!

23 January, 2008 - Sweatshop UK joins team

Sweatshop UK MD - Hugh Brasher in his other office!

Moores Racing are delighted to announce that Sweatshop UK, specialist running and sports clothing and equipment retailers, are joining the team as a major sponsor for 2008. Sweatshop UK was founded in 1971 by Chris Brasher, Olympic gold medallist and co-creator of the London Marathon.

Sweatshop UK has 26 nationawide shops in some of the country's leading health clubs, gyms and tennis clubs where looking good is part of the enjoyment of working out and is busy expanding into other areas of the country.

Apart from specialist retailing they are heavily involved with organising major running events throughout the UK.

Tony Jimenez said "It's an honour and a pleasure to be involved with such a prestigious company with real history. A major high street name - when somebody this big wants to get involved with a team like us it shows we must be doing something right".

Moores will be returning to defend their 2007 HMRC Supersport 600 title with a Yamaha R6 ridden by the core trio of Jim Agombar, Mike Eglington and Tony Jimenez.

The team will also be running a Yamaha R1 with Hugh Brasher, formally of Harvey Mushman Racing, who is currently in talks with other riders before firming up final plans for the 2008 season.

Tony Jimenez - back to defend his title? you bet!
